Held the forth meeting for the higher commission of census in Kurdistan

The Higher Commission of the general population census held its fourth meeting in Kurdistan region in 2/4/2009, the meeting was chaired by the Minister of Planning in Kurdistan Regional Government Mr. Othman Shwani on behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Planning and Development Cooperation the chairman of the Higher Commission of Census and the presence of the higher commission members. Meeting program included a presentation of what has been achieved of census activities, so it started with a documentary film show for the pre-test experiment has been carried out by employees of the Central Organization of Statistics for the period from 6/3/2009 until 14/3/2009, in addition to the taken lessons from this experience during the listing and numbering process also the population enumeration process, then it has been presented the achievement rates for each activity of census activities.At the meeting, It was emphasized on the importance of the training and preparation of cadres who will be participated in the workplace, and at the end of the meeting, the commission has taken a number of important decisions such as the involving of the Higher Commission members in the experimental   population census to oversee the task teams to be deployed in specific enumerating areas.
In addition to, a proposal has been submitted to the General Secretariat for the Council of Ministers about preparing of cadres from teachers of the Ministry of Education to work in the census as a national mission.
