All Iraqis are covered by The Population Census
  

   The Minister of Planning and Development Cooperation Ali G. Baban has emphasized that the value of the general population census lies in the accuracy that census has achieved and the inclusiveness will be provided to the Iraqis, So no Iraqi would be outside the scope of this census that will be carried out in Iraq in the twenty-fourth of the next October.

He has pointed out that during his speech on the meeting of the Enumeration Committee of Iraqis abroad, which was held at the headquarters of the ministry on Wednesday 22/4/2009.
 
Mr. Baban has indicated that Iraqis numbers have been witnessed rise of its rates during the recent years for many reasons, including security, standard of living and political. But the result, all these people are Iraqi citizens, regardless of any other consideration, and they must be covered by the population census. He pointed out that this requires from us to make further efforts to reach all of Iraqis abroad, which adds to the census more accurate and comprehensive... then he called for largest communication and high-level of coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the next phase, In addition to the communication with the competent authorities of the countries that Iraqis reside in it, and he has Alluded to the necessitate of intensification the media effort to highlight the importance of the census in the national policy development.

In addition, they are examine and discuss during the meeting which was attended by “Dr. Mahdi Al-Alak Chairman of the census operations Chamber and the representatives of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Displaced and Migrants Ministry, Human Rights Ministry and civil society as well as representatives of Kurdistan region” many issues related to preparations of COSIT to implement the general population census and develop plans to ensure the success of this census at home and abroad.
