Establishing number of workshops in preparation for the General Population Census

Within ongoing preparations to implement the General Census of Population and Housing in Iraq for the year 2009, it was held in Amman under the sponsorship of the United Nations Fund for Population two workshops to study and discuss many issues relating to the census, first workshop held for the period from 1-12/1/2009 has seen witnessed technical meeting between specialists from the  Egyptian Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, UN experts of the population, the Executive Director of the general census of population in COSIT and specialists in the population statistics and information technology, while the second workshop was held for the period from 23-25 / 12/2009 in the presence of the chairman of Central Organization for Statistics, Executive Director-General of the census, the chairman of Kurdistan Region Statistics Organization, specialists in the population statistics and geographic information systems department.
